Getafe C.F. has reached an agreement with the Georgian international defender Saba Sazonov, who joins the blue team to strengthen the defense of the first team for the upcoming season. The arrival of the center-back represents an important reinforcement for the team led by José Bordalás, adding youth, physicality, and potential to its defensive line.

Sazonov was trained in the youth ranks of Zenit Saint Petersburg, where he debuted in the top tier of Russian football before continuing his development at Dynamo Moscow. His performance opened the doors to Italian football in 2023 with his transfer to Torino FC, and he subsequently gained experience in Serie A during his loan spell at Empoli. Additionally, he has been a full international with the Georgian national team.
