The Getafe CF Foundation, present at the 18th LALIGA Foundations Meeting in Gijón

The Getafe CF Foundation participated in the 18th Meeting of Professional Football Club Foundations, organized by the LaLiga Foundation together with the Real Sporting de Gijón Foundation in Gijón, a key event for the social areas of professional football.

The meeting brought together representatives from numerous LALIGA clubs with the aim of sharing knowledge, strengthening collaboration between organizations, and advancing a more coordinated and transformative social action.

The main session took place at the El Molinón Stadium, where strategic issues for the present and future of the sector were addressed. Among the topics discussed were trends in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters, as well as the measurement of social impact through the return on investment (SROI), with the sharing of various success stories.

Additionally, one of the most significant segments focused on coordinating aid in emergencies and disasters, during which a joint proposal was presented to improve the response capacity of foundations and clubs in high-impact situations.

The meeting concluded with a motivational talk on personal growth, wrapping up two days of work and learning. This initiative, which has been held since 2004, continues to establish itself as a key platform for promoting a more inclusive, supportive, and socially committed football, values that the Getafe CF Foundation actively promotes in its daily activities.
