Magnificent season for Getafe team culminated in the finals in Villarreal

Getafe Genuine team ended the season in Villarreal with a third place that speaks clearly of the performance on the field. The blues competed for the title until the end after having played at a high level during the year. The tournament concluded with the match against Espanyol, which decided the winner and in which the other team came out on top. Before that, our team had already beaten Fuenlabrada and Tenerife. The sum of the sporting results and the fair play points allowed us to climb the league podium in such a special weekend.
Beyond the magnificent position achieved in the La Liga competition, Genuine closes a year with a lot of activity. Getafe has participated in friendlies and other tournaments. Recently, Getafe also attended the '100 years of football in Getafe' days, in which numerous teams from the city celebrated their relationship with the beautiful game. The team represented the shield along with other classic and historic local clubs. "Players and staff are very satisfied with the 2022/23 campaign, in which the personal growth of all members and the Club's own values have been essential," says Pipe, the team's coach.
The final touch and the award for effort went to Isma. The Genuine striker posed with next season's second kit at the official presentation that took place at the Coliseum. The player represented all his teammates at the annual event, where he was accompanied by Facu, from Getafe B, and also Isma and Benito, from the under-19 Getafe team.
