The journey of David Soria with Getafe C.F. continues to leave its mark on La Liga. The blue goalkeeper reached this Sunday against Elche CF, at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero and corresponding to matchday 37 of the championship, 189 consecutive starts in the league competition.
With this new record, the Madrid-born goalkeeper surpasses the historic mark of Luis Arconada and stands alone in second place in the ranking of players with the most consecutive starts in LALIGA.
After surpassing historic names in national football such as Andoni Zubizarreta and Luis Arconada, David Soria is now within reach of the absolute record for consecutive starts, currently held by Larrañaga with 192 matches. With one match remaining until the end of the championship, the blue goalkeeper continues to expand his legacy with the Getafe C.F. jersey.
